Rahim Ladhani

CTV News Toronto Weekend Anchor & Videojournalist

Rahim Ladhani is the co-anchor of CTV News Toronto’s weekend newscasts. He also makes regular contributions to the station’s weekday newscasts, filing reports from across the city.

Raised in Brampton Ladhani is passionate about local news, politics, and sports, and has covered a wide range of stories from federal and provincial elections to the NHL playoffs and Royal Family visits.

Ladhani joined CTV in 2014, first as a reporter then later becoming the Noon news anchor for CTV News Winnipeg. He moved to CTV Calgary in 2015 as an anchor/reporter before returning to CTV Winnipeg later in 2016 where spent the next four years as a co-host for the city’s edition of CTV MORNING LIVE. Ladhani also previously worked as a videojournalist in Fort St. John, BC.

Ladhani earned a degree in psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010, and his start in broadcasting began when he landed a part-time job as a program assistant for HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, which solidified his choice to pursue a career in television. He went back to school, graduating from the Broadcast Journalism program at Seneca College in 2013, where he received the Chuck “Spider” Jones Award for exceptional academic achievement in the television and radio industry.

Ladhani is a sports fanatic who enjoys cooking, working out, and tries to live by the mantra: “Be authentic. Be real. Be you.”

He speaks English.
