Claude Feig, Sports Reporter, CTV News Toronto
Claude Feig has been part of our sports broadcasting team at CTV Toronto since May 1994.
Born in Venezuela, Claude moved to Canada at the age of 8 and grew up in North York.
"I was exposed to the 'Television culture' from an early age...my mom was an actress and model and she would bring me on sets," Claude explains, " and my love for sports came naturally. Growing up as both an athlete and fan made this an easy career choice."
Upon graduating from the Radio and Television program at Seneca College, Claude began his broadcasting career at Global TV as a sports editor and producer. He later moved on to TSN as a field producer and also as a sportscaster on TSN radio and the FAN 590 before joining the CTV Toronto news team.
Being a huge basketball fan, one of Claude's most memorable moments was reporting at the first Toronto Raptors game. However, Claude's biggest thrill to date was interviewing Pele in 1998 as a lead up to the World Cup. As a young boy growing up in South America, Pele was one of Claude's biggest sporting idols. Meeting him was a thrill of a lifetime. He has also interviewed sports icons Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Dr. 'J' Julius Erving.
Claude is a happily married father of 2 currently residing in the Toronto area.
