TORONTO - Toronto police say a man who pretends to be sleeping is groping women on Toronto subway trains.

Investigators released a picture today of a man believed to have assaulted at least two women on the subway.

Police say the alleged sexual assaults occurred on two separate occasions on subway cars travelling on the Bloor-Danforth line.

On both occasions the suspect sat in an empty seat beside a woman and placed his bag on top of his lap.

Police say he then touched the woman's thigh region and pretended to be asleep during the incident.

The suspect is described as white, about 35 years old, five-foot-11, medium build, with black short hair.

There may be more victims who have not come forward to report similar incidents, investigators said Monday.

The first incident occurred on the night of Oct. 4 and the second occurred last Friday.
