Police are investigating after a man was injured at a downtown Toronto subway station Saturday night.
The incident was reported at Sherbourne Station at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday. Police and paramedics initially reported that the man was stabbed, but later said his injuries were due to "blunt force."
Officers have provided few details, but said the incident occurred on the station's eastbound platform. Paramedics said the man's injuries are believed to be minor.
Witnesses reported seeing a man fleeing the station following the incident. Police said they're looking for a man in his 40s who is approximately 5-foot-10. He has long dreadlocks and a patchy beard, and was wearing a brown jacket.
A train was stopped in the station as part of the investigation. Subway trains are bypassing Sherbourne Station as police investigate.
