A man in his 20s has died after a stabbing in the city's east end, police confirmed Saturday morning.
EMS said they received a call about a stabbing near Danforth and Greenwood Avenues just after 3 a.m.
Paramedics took the victim to a nearby hospital. Police later confirmed his death.
Insp. Richard Hegedus told CP24 that it appears that the victim was stabbed after an altercation took place on the sidewalk and roadway.
A male fled the scene, but police don't yet have a description of him, Hegedus said.
Investigators are now canvassing the area and trying to gather information about the suspect.
