Police in Toronto are searching for a man accused of robbing a bank in The Beach neighbourhood at gunpoint last month.
Investigators say the suspect walked into a bank near Queen Street East and Woodbine Avenue on Nov. 10 at around 5:15 p.m. where he waited in line for the next available teller.
When the suspect approached the counter, police say he pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the employee while demanding money.
It’s alleged the armed suspect then threatened to shoot the teller if they did not comply.
He fled the bank once he was given an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police describe the suspect as being between 45 and 55 years old, approximately five-foot-10 with a thin build and a clean shaven face.
In security camera video provided by police, the suspect appears to be wearing a light coloured coat, black pants, black gloves and a black toque.
He can be seen reaching into his front coat pocket as he walks toward the counter, eventually pulling out the handgun and pointing it at the teller before reaching over to grab a handful of bills.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the video is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
