A pile-up involving up to 40 vehicles forced police to close the southbound lanes of Highway 400 at King Road on Saturday afternoon.
Two of three southbound lanes reopened shortly after 2 p.m., and the third lane reopened before 5 p.m., according to the OPP.
There were no serious injuries stemming from the crash, Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
Police are still investigating what caused the accident. Although conditions were not considered bad at the time of the crash, the roads may have been slick from overnight snowfall.
The OPP also closed westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Woodstock, Ont., on Saturday afternoon, after a pile-up involving approximately 30 vehicles.
Highway 401 is closed from Sweaburg Road to County Road 6 in Oxford County and is expected to reopen at approximately 5 p.m.
