HEARST, Ont. - The body of Trooper Jack Bouthillier will be returning to his hometown of Hearst, Ont., on Friday.

The 20-year-old was one of four Canadian soldiers killed last week in two separate attacks in Afghanistan. A public viewing will be held Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday at the Christian Assembly.

His funeral is slated for Monday at the town's Knights of Columbus Hall.

"Boots," as he was known by his friends, and Trooper Corey Hayes of Ripples, N.B., died when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb northeast of Kandahar city.

Both were members of the Royal Canadian Dragoons based out of CFB Petawawa, Ont.
