This evening, the temperature will rise to -9C, but it will feel like -17 with the wind chill. The weather agency also predicts that 4 centimetres of snow will fall on Friday night and Saturday morning.

FBI agent to be cross-examined

Cross-examination of an undercover FBI officer is expected to begin today at the Toronto trial of two men accused of plotting to derail a Via Rail train in 2012.

Not-guilty pleas have been entered for both men, who face terror-related charges.

Never give up, Hope

A black bear nicknamed Hope is slowly recovering after it was found paralyzed and emaciated in a field in northwestern Ontario. Veterinarians at an Oakville clinic have given the bear an extensive drug plan after it was recently diagnosed with meningitis. They expect the bear to be back on her feet in a month.

The Islanders' Jaroslav Halak made 32 saves last night, as New York beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2. The Leafs are taking a one-day break, then they'll face off against the Canadiens in Montreal on Saturday.
