2 suspects wanted after six commercial break-ins: Toronto police

Police are searching for two suspects after six break-ins at multiple downtown Toronto businesses on New Year's Eve.

Toronto Police Service say the robberies took place between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m. in the Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area on Dec. 31.

Investigators say it is alleged a man and woman went to six different businesses in that area and the man used a rock to break the front doors.

He would then target the cash tills while the woman served as a lookout, they say.

After the break-ins, police say a backpack was used to hide the stolen money.

Police are now looking for two people connected to the break-ins.

The male suspect is described as about five-foot-10 to six-feet tall, about 180 pounds, and between the ages of 40 to 45 years-old. Police say he was wearing a black hoodie, black balaclava, black sweatpants with a white stripe on the sides, grey socks or long johns, white shoes, white gloves, and was carrying a green reusable bag at the time of the robberies.

Police describe the female suspect as in her late 30s to early 40s, about 120 pounds with dark brown hair. She was wearing a dark blue or black jacket, blue jeans, black boots, and was carrying a red and black backpack according to investigators.
