As the holiday shopping frenzy gets underway, the City of Toronto has released its 2014 wish list, detailing different items shelters across the city need this year.

According to the City of Toronto, community agencies that help the city's most vulnerable population are in need of "everyday items…that can make a big difference to an individual or family in need."

Some of those items include toiletries, winter clothing and gift cards for groceries.

"These organizations serve our city's most vulnerable people so the need is for everything from clothing and toiletries to vouchers for food and TTC tokens," General Manager of Shelter, Support and Housing Administration Phillip Adams said in a statement Monday afternoon.
