The victim of a fatal, multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 Tuesday has been identified as Vladimir Bucalov.
Police say the 42-year-old Ajax man died after a loaded dump truck lost control on the highway, near Yonge Street, and rolled over onto the victim's Mitsubishi Outlander.
The collision happened around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
More than a dozen firefighters responded to the crash that involved at least nine vehicles. Three other people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All eastbound express lanes on Hwy. 401 were temporarily closed at Allen Road until about 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police are still investigating the crash and say they are unsure why the driver of the dump truck lost control of the vehicle.
