Police have arrested and charged seven suspects after a home in northeast Brampton was shot at twice since November.

The incidents occurred at a residence near Mountainberry and Mountainash roads, which is north of Bovaird Drive East and east of Torbram Road.

The first shooting happened on Nov. 30, just before 2 a.m.

Peel Regional Police (PRP) said that two suspects shot at the residence. None of the home’s occupants were hurt.

The following day, on Dec. 1, police executed a search warrant at a Brampton residence where they recovered a loaded firearm and ammunition. Three men from Brampton were subsequently arrested and charged.

Manpreet Singh, 27, Dilpreet Singh, 23, Harshdeep Singh, 23, were all charged with discharge firearm with intent and fail to comply with release order, while Harshdeep Singh was also charged with careless storage of a firearm.

The second shooting happened on Jan. 2, at around 9 a.m., at the same home. None of the occupants were hurt in this incident.

Two days later, on Jan. 4, police arrested four more men after executing a search warrant and recovering a loaded firearm and ammunition at a Brampton home.

Dharmpreet Singh, 25, Manpartap Singh, 27, Atamjit Singh, 30, and Arvinderpal Singh, 21, are each facing eight offences, including unauthorized possession of firearm and discharge firearm in reckless manner.

All of the accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
