A teenager has been sent to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the city’s west end.
Police were called to York Gate Boulevard at the York Gate Plaza in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue around 4 p.m. on Monday.
According to Toronto paramedics, the victim was shot in the abdomen.
Investigators are looking for an older black man with a thin buildwho was wearing dark jeans and a dark jean jacket at the time of the incident, police said.
Police believe the suspect was in possession of a firearm when he fled the scene in a red or black car.
