A teen is in hospital with serious injuries after a cargo van rolled over on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 early Monday morning.
The collision occurred around 4:10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, just west of Winston Churchill Boulevard.
A 15-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and his 56-year-old father was taken to hospital by land ambulance with minor injuries.
"The driver lost control for an unknown reason, maybe a mechanical issue like a tire," OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told CP24.
As a result of the collision, the OPP fully closed the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Trafalgar Road as they investigated. Lanes began to reopen at around 7:30 a.m.
