Police are searching for suspects in two separate sexual assault cases that occurred at Toronto subway stations.

The first assault occurred at Wellesley Station at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Jan. 11. Police said a 36-year-old was seated on a subway train when she was approached by a man who sat down beside her.

While seated next to the woman, the man sexually assaulted her, police said in a statement on Thursday.

The suspect has been described as approximately 25 years old and 150 pounds, with pockmarked skin and hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue Abercrombie hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police are also investigating another subway station assault that is not believed to be connected.

Police said two teenage girls were walking up a flight of stairs to the bus bay at Davisville Station, at approximately at 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 26.

A man allegedly approached the girls from behind and sexually assaulted one of them.

The suspect is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old and approximately 5-foot-9. He has a medium build, wide face, and a short, brown trimmed beard along the jawline.

He was wearing dark-rimmed glasses, a burgundy toque with black horizontal stripes, a burgundy parka, black baggy pants. He was carrying a black backpack.
