Construction on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line may impact thousands of fans planning to attend the Toronto Blue Jays home opening weekend in the downtown core.

Service will be suspended between Bloor-Yonge Station and St. Andrew Station on Saturday and Sunday for signal upgrades and tunnel maintenance. All trains will be turning back upon reaching the stations.

Union subway station will also be closed for construction.

Customers can use the 6 Bay or 94 Wellesley buses and the 506 Carlton, 505 Dundas, 501 Queen and 504 King streetcars as alternatives.
