Events closures
Bloor Street will be closed from Spadina Avenue to Parliament Street, and Yonge Street from Bloor to Queen Street as part of Open Streets Toronto. The affected areas will be closed to vehicles on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., but will remain open to pedestrians.
Jersey Avenue will be closed from Harbord Street to Page Street for a street party on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
A section of Danforth Avenue, from Byng Avenue to Warden Avenue, and from Danforth Road to Landry Avenue, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday for the Wheels on Danforth car show.
The International Street Festival means Eglinton Avenue West will be closed from Dufferin Street to Marlee Avenue in both directions from Saturday at 3 a.m. to Monday at 3 a.m.
Highway 401 closure
Highway 401 eastbound and westbound will be closed between Highway 35/115 and Mill Street from 8 p.m. on Saturday to 8 a.m. on Sunday. Access to the 401 will be available by signed detour routes during the closure.
Lake Shore Boulevard closures
The westbound lanes of Lake Shore will be closed to traffic between Bay and York Streets from Saturday at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday at 11:59 p.m. for the construction of a pedestrian bridge. Traffic travelling west on Lake Shore will be diverted onto Yonge Street, and motorists are advised to use Sherbourne Street and Lower Jarvis Street to access other routes. King and Wellington Streets, as well as the Gardiner Expressway and Queens Quay, can be used as alternate routes.
The westbound passing lane will be occupied from Rees Street to Van De Water Crescent by tunnel construction from 9 a.m. to midnight every day until the end of February 2015.
Until Sunday, Aug. 31, one lane eastbound and one lane westbound will be occupied due to TTC Leslie Street Connection Track Project, 24 hours a day.
Gardiner Expressway closures
The eastbound and westbound left lanes will be occupied by construction on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. between Ellis Avenue and Dufferin Street.
The eastbound and westbound left shoulder and right shoulder lanes will be occupied by long-term construction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, between Park Lawn Road and Humber River until Aug. 20.
TTC closures and diversions
The 510 Spadina streetcars have been replaced by buses due to construction at Dundas. The north part of the route will operate between Spadina Station and Baldwin Street. The south portion of the route will operate between Sullivan Street and Queens Quay. Customers will have to exit the bus and walk between Baldwin and Sullivan Streets.
Service through the intersection is back to normal for the 505 streetcar following a two-week closure.
There will be no train service between Union and St. Andrew stations on Saturday and Sunday as TTC crews prepare for the opening of a second subway platform at Union on Monday, Aug. 18.
