Police are warning the public after a group of men in a white cargo van attempted to lure two different 13-year-old girls on separate occasions last week.

In a statement released on Thursday, police say both incidents happened in the Runnymede neighbourhood, near the Jane and Annette Streets area.

The first incident happened on Nov. 19, at approximately 7:45 a.m. Police say a 13-year-old girl was walking on Annette Street, near Quebec Avenue, when a white cargo construction van pulled up alongside her. Three men allegedly attempted to lure the young teenaged girl into their van, but she fled the area, police said.

In the second incident, police say the same three men attempted to lure a different 13-year-old girl on Nov. 20.

Police say she was standing at a bus stop in the Jane Street and St. John's Road area at approximately 3:45 p.m. The men attempted to lure her into their white van. Police say she refused and the men sped away in their vehicle.

Both girls were not injured during the incidents.

Police say the first suspect is white, between 20- and 30-years-old, and was last seen wearing a construction vest. He has short, dark hair, and is believed to have a beard. Police say he was sitting in the rear passenger seat of the van.

The second and third suspects are both described as white, in their mid-20s and also have short, dark hair.

Police say the second suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, and was sitting in the front passenger seat.

The third suspect was last seen wearing a beige or white winter coat, and was driving the van.
