Police are investigating a three-vehicle collision in Mississauga that left a 20-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries on Saturday night.

Peel Paramedic Services say the incident occurred at the corner of Dixie Road and Eglinton Avenue shortly after 11 p.m.

Police say a male pedestrian was struck after the three vehicles collided. He is currently being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Paramedics told CTV News that the man was taken to the Trillium Health Centre hospital in critical condition and was transferred to a trauma centre.

Alcohol is not considered a factor at this time, and the investigation is still ongoing.
