One man has died and another is in hospital after a stabbing in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

Peel police were called at approximately 1:30 a.m. to Rainbow Crescent., in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road West and Erin Mills Parkway, where two men were found with injuries.

A 19-year-old Mississauga man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other, a 20-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Const. George Tudos said a large gathering was taking place at a residence when the stabbings occurred.

“Homicide investigators are gathering evidence and speaking to witnesses,” Tudos said Saturday morning, who later added that “witnesses are being cooperative.”

No arrests have been made, and police are not yet releasing information on possible suspects.
