A suspect in a 2014 murder investigation remains at large following an hours-long manhunt in Toronto's east end.
Police are searching for 22-year-old Conrad Grizzle, wanted in connection with the shooting death of Douglas Parker in May 2014.
Parker was shot in the area of Gerrard Street East and Greenwood Avenue, shortly after arriving in the area with a group of friends. His friends received non-life-threatening injuries, but Parker succumbed at the scene. A Canada-wide warrant was issued when Grizzle was identified, but the suspect has evaded police since the time of the shooting.
Helicopters, a canine unit and officers on the ground scoured the area of Danforth and Coxwell Avenues Sunday night for signs of the suspect. Officers said they'd recovered a firearm believed to be connected to the suspect, and set up a perimeter in the area, but were unable to locate the 22-year-old.
Officers called off the search early Monday morning at approximately 1 a.m.
Anyone who spots the suspect is asked not to approach him, but to call 911 immediately.
