A man has turned himself into Peel Regional Police in connection with a violent altercation that occurred at a Mississauga house party early Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. outside a residence in the area of Britannia Road and Queen Street.

Police say they have arrested and charged a 33-year-old man after a physical alternation that resulted in a male victim being sent to hospital with serious head injuries.

The victim still remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Wayne Junior Anglin, from Mississauga, has been charged with aggravated assault and was due in court Sunday for a bail hearing.

Peel police say they are still looking for anyone with information to contact them.
