MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- Police say a 30-year-old man is in life-threatening condition after receiving head injuries during a fight at a house party in Mississauga.
Police responded to a call of a man who was unconscious outside of a house party on Brookside Dr. at about 2 a.m. on Saturday.
They say the man was involved in a fight with an unknown suspect outside of the home, which then escalated and the victim was struck in the head -- possibly with a weapon.
The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to a downtown Mississauga trauma centre to undergo emergency surgery.
Police have interviewed numerous witnesses but anyone with information on the incident or any partygoers who have not yet spoken to investigators are asked to contact them.
