The forecast calls for rain on Halloween Thursday night, but the wise trick-or-treater won't let the weather dampen their spirit.
Weather experts predict rain and wind during the day, continuing through the night, so if you plan to be outside, you'll want a rain-friendly costume.
Here are some costume ideas to keep you dry while collecting candy:
-
Mary Poppins: Grab a black umbrella, little red bowtie and hat with a band of flowers and do your best Julie Andrews impression.
-
Grim Reaper: Sport a long hooded cloak and carry a scythe.
-
Fisherman: Wear a bright yellow rain jacket, hat and boots and carry a stuffed fish.
-
Weatherman: Carry a microphone and umbrella, and trade forecasts (more rain!) for candy.
-
Jellyfish or spider: Attach streamers to the bottom of your umbrella as tentacles or legs.
-
Bat: Make your wings out of a cut-up umbrella, and use your arms to cover your head between houses.
-
Tightrope walker: Wear a leotard and tutu, carry an umbrella and try to walk one foot in front of the other.
-
Witch: Paint your face green, wear all black and opt for the witch hat with the widest brim.
-
Raining cats and dogs: Glue stuffed dogs and cats to your umbrella.
-
Gnome: Wear a brightly coloured rain coat and boots, fake beard and pointy hat.
-
Ghost: Cut eye holes out of a tarp painted white.
-
Garbage bag: Cover yourself in cut up garbage bags, then glue on scraps of garbage that won't melt in the rain.
-
Little Red Riding Hood: Wear a red rain coat or poncho and collect candy with a picnic basket.
- The Penguin: The Batman villain sports a suit, monocle and umbrella.
