Toronto police say they are searching for more victims after a man became the target of an attempted robbery after posting an ad on Kijiji.
Police said that a 23-year-old man placed an advertisement on the online resale website last week, attempting to sell an Apple iPad.
Another man contacted him via email, text messages and telephone calls, in an apparent attempt to purchase the device.
Police allege the two met on Friday in the Lawrence Avenue West and Brookhaven Drive area. During that meeting, the accused allegedly pulled a gun on the man selling the iPad and attempted to rob him.
The victim escaped with the iPad and called police.
Meneliki Jafari David-Lee, 21, was arrested on Sunday and charged with using a firearm to commit an indictable offence, robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and threatening death.
