Northbound lanes of a major Toronto street were covered in ice and water from a broken fire hydrant on Thursday morning.
The hydrant, located on the east side of Weston Road near Rogers Road, was broken during a car crash shortly before 7 a.m.
As a result of the break, water was shooting into the air and onto the major roadway for about three hours.
Crews had to shut off a nearby watermain connected to the hydrant before repairs could be made, but the northbound lanes have since reopened.
