An elderly man who went missing from Humber River Regional Hospital has been located and pronounced dead.

The man was discovered shortly after the hospital reported a missing elderly person on Sunday morning.

Toronto Paramedic Services said they received a call just after 7:30 a.m. about a man found on the sidewalk in Toronto’s northwest end, near Jane Street and Trethewey Drive.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man without vital signs. He was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police could not confirm the cause of death or how long the man spent outside. Officers said he was dressed appropriately for the weather.

There is no criminal investigation at this time, police said.
