The Civic Holiday, also known as Simcoe Day in Toronto, means many businesses and offices will be closed.
Here's a list of what's open and what's closed for the holiday:
- Government offices
- Banks
- Childcare centres
- Libraries
- Post offices and mail delivery
- Beer Store locations
- Some LCBO locations
The following businesses will stay open:
- Some grocery stores, including some Metro and Loblaws locations
- Some malls, including the Eaton Centre, Vaughan Mills, the Scarborough Town Centre, Markvlle Mall, Hillcrest Mall and Square One
- GO Transit (operating on Saturday schedule)
- TTC (operating on holiday service schedule)
- Long-term care homes
- Tourist attractions across the city, including historical sites
- Golf courses
