Wednesday's forecast will bring a mix of sun, cloud and possibility some rain as Environment Canada says sunny skies in the morning will be followed by cloud coverage, with a 30 per cent chance of showers, in the afternoon. The daytime high is expected to be 26 C, which will drop to a low of 16 C by Wednesday night.

TRAFFIC

Traffic has slowed to a crawl on the eastbound Highway 401 between Dixie Road and Weston Road, but commuters are moving well along the rest of the 401.

Commuters are also moving slowly along parts of the eastbound Gardiner Expressway, from Park Lawn Road to Strachan Avenue, and westbound from Spadina Avenue to Fort York Boulevard.

VELD Music Festival deaths

Toronto police continue to investigate what they say is a "criminal act" following the deaths of Willard Amurao, 22, and Annie Truong-Le, 20, who both died after taking a party drug at VELD Music Festival. Investigators have zeroed in on two different pills that may be linked to their deaths: a small, brown pill and a small, clear capsule filled with a white substance. Police are asking festival-goers to send in photos and videos that were taken at VELD to www.TPS.on.ca/veld.

Cleanup continues in Burlington after flood

As residents in Burlington, Ont., continue to clean up after Monday’s torrential rains, Environment Canada says there is a 30 per cent chance of showers forecast for this afternoon. The additional rainwater could further damage homes and hinder the cleanup effort, especially in some of the worst-hit areas of the city, where the water levels rose to approximately 1.8 metres at one point. On Tuesday, Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring said there is a concern about the contamination of the city’s drinking water.
