More than half of Toronto's outdoor rinks have opened, marking the unofficial start to the winter sports season.
Starting Saturday, 35 of the city's 50 outdoor rinks will be open to the public. The rinks will remain open until March 20, weather permitting.

Riverdale Park East is not expected to open until January 2016.
