Peel police have issued an arrest warrant in connection with a fatal daylight shooting in Mississauga earlier this month.

Officers found Orvil Campbell collapsed and bleeding on the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, near the Tenth Line, on the morning of March 9.

Campbell was taken to Credit Valley Hospital where he died of his gunshot injuries.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Kevin Anthony Smith.

The public is warned not to approach Smith as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Smith or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Anyone who may be harboring or assisting in the harboring of the suspect, or obstructing or misleading investigators, could face very serious criminal charges.
