Regular Toronto Transit Commission subway service on Line 1 has resumed after a power issue at Finch Station disrupted service for hours.

A spokesperson for the TTC said in a tweet sent Friday night that the delay has been cleared. Earlier in the day, trains were turning back at Sheppard Station and shuttle buses were operating between Finch and Sheppard Stations.

A TTC spokesperson first notified commuters about the problem on Twitter at 2:15 p.m.

The transit agency later tweeted at approximately 3 p.m. that the delay had been cleared, but then tweeted shortly before 3:30 p.m. that service was suspended again.
