A 16-year-old teen and two young men have been charged after an investigation into a gang sexual assault.

Police allege that a 14-year-old girl arranged to meet with one of the suspects on Coxwell Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 2 at 9:30 p.m.

Police said that there were two other people with the suspect she arranged to meet, and the girl did not know either of the other two other men.

The girl went with the three men to a home near Wakunda Place, which is near St. Clair Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue, police said.

Police allege the girl was sexually assaulted repeated times while in the home.

A 16-year old boy faces charges, as do Richard Wayner, 23, and Michael Pottle, 22, both of Toronto.

The 16-year-old cannot be identified, due to his age.

All three have been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, gang sexual assault, overcome resistance: choking, threatening death and forcible confinement.

All three men appeared in court on Aug. 3.

Police said in a release that community members helped them identify the accused.
