Police are searching for three teenage boys after a fourth was stabbed in Hamilton over the weekend.
Hamilton police said the young man was involved in an altercation in the area of Rosslyn Avenue and Barton Street East at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
During the incident, one of the teens pulled out a knife and started stabbing the victim. Three suspects then fled the area on foot before police arrived.
Officers were dispatched to search for the suspects, but all three were able to escape.
The 14-year-old victim was rushed to hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Police are searching for three suspects described as white males between the ages of 14 and 16. All three were wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, and are between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet tall.
