Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a double-stabbing in the Lawrence Manor neighbourhood Tuesday morning.

Toronto Police Const. Tony Vella told CP24 that a 46-year-old male was arrested hours after police responded to call about a dispute at an apartment building in the Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.

When police arrived at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday, a female victim was found suffering a slash to the neck. She was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital in critical condition.

A man was also taken to hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening cut to his wrist.

Charges will depend on the severity of the woman's injuries.

Both victims remain in hospital.
