Toronto police have released security camera footage they hope will encourage witnesses of a shooting in Little Italy to come forward.

The shooting took place at Revival Bar, located at 783 College St., just east of Shaw Street, at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2.

Police said there was an altercation inside the bar between four men, all of whom were removed from the premises by staff members. Once outside, police say the men had a brief conversation before one person pulled out a gun and shot another.

Investigators said that the shooter and his friend then fled the scene in a dark coloured vehicle, and were last seen heading southbound on Crawford Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police released surveillance footage from the bar on Friday, hoping that someone will recognize a man shown in the video.

The black-and-white footage shows the front entrance, where a suspect can be seen entering and exiting the bar. The faces of the other people in the video have been blurred.

In a statement, police describe the individual as approximately 26 or 27 years old, weighing 250 pounds. At the time of the incident, he had short hair, and was wearing a white shirt with a checkered pattern on the left shoulder and khaki shorts.
