GRAVENHURST, Ont. - A provincial police marine collision reconstructionist is trying to determine the cause of a boat crash in central Ontario that sent several people to hospital.
Officers arrived at the Gravenhurst Wharf on Sunday night to find two badly damaged vessels that had crashed while motoring into the boat launch.
A little girl suffered severe facial and skull injuries and was airlifted to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.
A woman in the other boat was taken to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto by air ambulance to be treated for severe head and spinal injuries.
Several other people were taken to hospital in Bracebridge.
Police allege one of the male boat drivers had been drinking.
