The search is over for the reddish-brown and droopy-eared poodle missing from his west-end Toronto home.
Police said on Friday that Autumn, a seven-year-old standard poodle, died after he was struck by a vehicle on Lansdowne Avenue overnight.
It was reported earlier that the dog, who also answered to "Mr. Tummness" or "Tummy" had been stolen from the garage of a home in the Queen Street West and Lansdowne Avenue area.
However, police said that Autumn was not stolen and instead was "somehow released from its residence."
