Police have identified the mother and daughter killed in an apparent murder suicide in Whitby on Friday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police said officers went to an apartment building on Hickory Street South, near Dundas Street East and Brock Street South, on Friday afternoon.
A source told CTV Toronto that the mother was ordered to report to court to hand her daughter over to the girl’s father on Friday. When she did not appear in court, police went to her apartment on the fifth floor and discovered the bodies.
