A three-year-old boy who was struck by lightning earlier this week is home from hospital recovering, according to hospital officials.

A spokesperson for the Hospital for Sick Children confirmed the unidentified boy was released Sunday.

A 26-year-old woman and two young children were struck by lightning on Wednesday afternoon at Centennial Park in Brampton, Ont.

The woman, Dulce Caines, was released from hospital Friday and rushed to her five-year-old son's bedside who is still believed to be in critical condition. Her family have told the media that the woman is still in a lot of pain.

Her son Kyus was carrying a metal scooter over his shoulder when he was struck by lightning.
