PICKERING, Ont. -- Police say a man riding an electric bike is dead after the bike went through an intersection in Pickering on Friday night and was struck by an SUV.
Durham Regional Police say the man suffered serious head injuries and died after being taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
The victim has been identified as Ronald McGivney, 29, of Oshawa.
Police say the 69-year-old man driving the SUV was treated at hospital and released.
Investigators want to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.
