BRAMPTON, Ont. - A third person has been charged in the death of a Brampton, Ont., woman who disappeared three years ago.

Peel regional police say 42-year-old Skinder Punia of Brampton is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Investigators say he is the brother-in-law of 27-year-old Poonam Litt who was reported missing after she failed to show up for work on Feb. 5, 2009.

Remains found in late February this year in Caledon, Ont., were identified as being Litt, who was the mother of a two-year-old daughter.

Mandeep Punia, 35, of Brampton -- Litt's sister-in-law -- was arrested in April and charged with second-degree murder.

The victim's father-in-law, Kulwant Singh Litt, 63, also of Brampton, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
