A portion of Adelaide Street is expected to be partially closed for more than two months while Toronto Hydro installs a transformer vault.
Two lanes of the one-way eastbound street, approximately one block east and west of the Jarvis Street intersection, will be closed Monday. The lanes are not expected to open again until mid-April.
City officials say there will still be turning lanes at the intersection of Adelaide and Jarvis, but nevertheless suggest drivers take alternate routes across the city.
Other options include King Street and Queen Street, which aren’t currently facing any planned lane closures during high-volume traffic periods.
