An 82-year-old man who was found cold, semi-conscious and bleeding in a west-end laneway Thursday morning has died.
Paramedics say the man was suffering from hypothermia and cardiac arrest when they arrived to treat him at approximately 7 a.m. on Bloor Street West, near Prince Edward Drive. Temperatures dipped to minus -16 C overnight.
Police say the man's vital signs were absent as he was transported to hospital by ambulance. They added that he appeared to have been drinking.
Police confirmed Thursday afternoon that the unidentified man has died.
Police are investigating the incident.
