Those travelling in Toronto over the weekend may be hindered by planned road closures.
Santa Claus Parade closures
Those driving downtown Sunday may be affected by the Santa Claus Parade, which starts at 12:30 p.m. at Christie Pits and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
The following road closures will take place:
- Bloor Street between Ossington Avenue and Christie Streets, starting at 8 a.m.
- Bloor between Christie and Bathurst Streets, starting at 10 a.m.
- Bloor between Bathurst and Bay Streets, starting at 10:45 a.m.
- Avenue Road/Queen's Park Circle from Davenport Road to College Street, starting at 10:45 a.m.
- University Avenue between College and Dundas Streets, starting at 11 a.m.
- University between Dundas and Front Streets, starting at 11:15 a.m.
- Wellington Street from University to Jarvis Street, starting at 11:30 a.m.
- Front between Bay and Jarvis Streets, starting at 11:45 a.m.
Holly Jolly 5-kilometre Fun Run
Ahead of the parade, the same route will be closed for the "Holly Jolly 5-kilometre Fun Run."
