A man in his 20s was struck over the head and robbed in the Downsview area on Saturday.
Police originally received reports that someone had been stabbed near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue just after 2 p.m. The victim was treated by paramedics, who arrived on the scene at Sheridan Mall.
It appeared the victim was hit in the head with some kind weapon or possibly a piece of wood, police said.
He was taken to hospital for treatment as a precaution. Officers are still speaking with the man at the hospital and believe that his injuries are not serious.
Multiple suspects wore bandanas that covered their faces, police told CTV News Toronto. No further suspect information was given by police.
The investigation is ongoing.
