Four people, including two children, have been transported to hospital after a serious, two-vehicle crash on the Don Valley Parkway Saturday afternoon.

Toronto Paramedics said the crash happened near Don Mills Road shortly before 3 p.m. Police said one of the cars flipped over, but it's unclear what led to the collision.

One child was rushed to hospital in serious condition and the other child suffered minor injuries, paramedics said. The other two patients also suffered minor injuries.

The southbound lanes of the DVP were temporarily closed as police investigated the crash. The closure was lifted shortly after 4:15 p.m.
