The customized basketball shoes that Drake gave away at a Toronto Raptors game last Saturday have wound up on eBay, where bids have already hit the $100,000 range.

The Toronto rapper gave away two pairs of Nike Air Jordans featuring insoles embossed with the gold owl logo that brands his various business endeavours including a clothing line, record label and annual summertime concert.

Since a black pair netted its first $300 bid on eBay Monday, it's seen more than 150 bidders drive the going price up to US $100,000.

For that price, bidders are hoping to walk away with a pair of unused, size-11 shoes the seller claims to have received "from Drake himself at Drake night at the Raptors."

The second white pair was first offered for $200 on eBay Tuesday, and saw more than 90 bidders take the price up to US$99,900 by early Wednesday morning.

While the sellers of both pairs claim the shoes are in "new with box" condition, which by eBay standards means they are brand-new and in the original packaging, the Internet auction company cautions it can't guarantee authenticity.

According to the standard disclaimer that applies to all products sold on eBay, the onus is on the parties to the transaction. In other words: buyer beware.

Drake fans not prepared to take the risk, or part with that much cash, can still get in on the souvenir action.

The long sleeve T-shirts given to every fan that attended the Raptors' Drake night Saturday have also ended up on eBay, starting in the range of $75.
