Police consider a young suspect-at-large after a double murder in Scarborough armed and dangerous -- and they're warning anyone helping him hide will face serious charges.

More information was released Saturday, as police tried desperately to locate the 16-year-old.

Investigators released the youth's image and name after receiving special authorization to ID him from a judge, but the order expires Monday.

Police said he should not be approached by the public, but encouraged anyone who spots him to call 911 right away.

Two men, Shawn Day, 33, and Clifford Charles, 43, died after being shot in the chest on Rylander Boulevard, in the Kingston Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.

One victim was found dead inside a home at about 4 a.m., while the other was found a short time later bleeding inside a nearby SUV that had crashed into a tree. He died en route to hospital.

Homicide investigators said the men were targeted, but would not elaborate on the possible motive.

The victims are the city's 37th and 38th murders of the year.
